26/4/13 – SolidWorks Surfaces Experimenting
Process of making this shape starts of with drawing 3 random shapes in 3 different planes by offsetting the right plane then used Boundary Surface connecting the 3 planes together making sure the green and pink dots align so that it doesn’t make the shape bend into each other. Afterwards offsetting the front plane to Surface Extrude the shape into the surface and then Filled Surface to cover it. Surface Trimmed the outer excess that wasn’t needed and then surface Knitted it to make it a solid. Finished it off using Fillet to change sharp corners into curves and shelled it 2mm so it can be manufactured.
